1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to KiddieEdu, Africa's safest online learning platform for children aged 6โ€“14 years, operated by KiddieEdu Technologies Limited, a company registered under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Lagos State.

By accessing or using our platform, website, mobile application, or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the parent/guardian) and KiddieEdu Technologies Limited. We encourage you to read them carefully.

2. Definitions and Interpretations

In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • "Platform" means the KiddieEdu website, mobile application, and all associated services.
  • "User" means any parent, guardian, or authorised adult who creates and manages an account.
  • "Child/Learner" means any person under the age of 14 enrolled on the Platform by a User.
  • "Content" means all educational materials, videos, assessments, live sessions, and resources available on the Platform.
  • "Subscription" means a paid plan granting access to premium features.
  • "NDPA" means the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • "CRA" means the Child's Rights Act, 2003 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

Accounts on KiddieEdu may only be created by parents or legal guardians who are at least 18 years of age. By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) being enrolled.
  • All information provided during registration is accurate and truthful.
  • You will maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You accept full responsibility for all activities conducted under your account.

KiddieEdu reserves the right to verify account details and to suspend or terminate accounts where false information is detected.

4. Services and Platform Features

KiddieEdu provides an online educational platform offering:

  • Live interactive classes conducted by certified tutors
  • Recorded lesson content for flexible learning
  • Subject-specific curricula aligned with Nigerian and international standards
  • Progress tracking and performance reports for parents
  • Gamified learning tools, quizzes, and achievements
  • Weekend and after-school learning programmes

Service availability may vary by subscription tier. KiddieEdu reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

5. Fees, Payments and Subscriptions

Access to premium content and live classes requires a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay all applicable fees as stated at the time of purchase, in Nigerian Naira (NGN).
  • Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected.
  • Automatic renewal applies unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the renewal date.
  • Refunds are subject to our Refund Policy; please contact support within 7 days of a charge for assistance.
  • KiddieEdu is not responsible for third-party payment processor fees or bank charges.

All prices are subject to change. Existing subscribers will be notified 30 days before any price adjustment.

6. User Conduct and Responsibilities

As a registered parent or guardian, you agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with unauthorised persons.
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
  • Upload, transmit, or share content that is inappropriate, offensive, or violates any law.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the Platform.
  • Harass, abuse, or threaten tutors, staff, or other users.

Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on the KiddieEdu Platform โ€” including but not limited to lesson videos, curriculum materials, graphics, logos, software, and assessments โ€” is the exclusive intellectual property of KiddieEdu Technologies Limited and is protected under Nigerian and international copyright law.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use Platform content solely for your child's personal educational purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written permission.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

KiddieEdu is fully committed to compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023 (NDPA). We collect and process personal data only for legitimate educational purposes.

Children's data is processed with the highest level of care. We do not sell, share, or monetise any child's personal data. Parents retain the right to access, correct, or request deletion of their child's data at any time.

9. Child Safety and Safeguarding

The safety of every child on KiddieEdu is our highest priority. In compliance with the Child's Rights Act, 2003 and the Cybercrimes Act, 2015:

  • All tutors undergo thorough background checks and child safety training.
  • Live sessions are monitored and recorded for safety purposes.
  • Children may not create independent accounts; all access is parent-mediated.
  • Any form of abuse, exploitation, or inappropriate contact is strictly prohibited and will be reported to law enforcement.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

KiddieEdu provides its Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for the highest quality, we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service at all times.
  • Specific learning outcomes or academic results.
  • The accuracy of third-party content, where applicable.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, KiddieEdu shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Platform.

11. Termination and Suspension

KiddieEdu reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account at its sole discretion if:

  • These Terms are violated.
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity is detected.
  • A court order or regulatory authority requires it.

Users may close their accounts at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, access to all Platform content will cease, and unused subscription credits are subject to our Refund Policy.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Lagos State, Nigeria, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. Both parties waive the right to a class action.
